Energy World spoke to Sami Khoreibi to find out about the potential of investing in Solar Power

Q: What percentage of today’s energy requirements is met by solar power in the region, and what level do you hope will be supplied in the future?

A : Over the last year we have seen a number of exciting announcements throughout the region regarding renewable energy targets. Abu Dhabi has set a 7% target by the year 2020 and based on the nature of the environment in the Gulf, it is expected that for the most part this will be achieved through the widescale implementation of solar energy.
